It has no obvious install instructions. All that downloads is an App. SQA on this product seems very poor. It demands that I use it in an Admin account which I am already logged into. There is no info or help when first launched. It also demands it be in the "Applications"folder and does not like being in a subfolder. A successful installation is not obvious. The only way I found to determine this is the presence of the drive in the printer prefs preference pane.

Our wi-fi network is the current version of the AirPort extreme. Over the past year or so, I constantly find note on my desk from other family members stating they cannot print from their IOS devices. The printer is setup on a hard-wired ethernet network we have both wi-fi and ethernet combined.
The "fix" is to print from my Mac, which apparently wakes the printer. That is unacceptable. Until this matter is resolved, I have to change my five star rating to two stars. Good as always! I never have had any problems with this really stable and good software. And I am happy that it still will be updated. I use it with all my iOS devices and it works on all my Macs like a charm. In short: a really great software.

If your Mac can print to a printer, Printopia can enable your iOS device to do so, too. Once you fall in love with Printopia like I did, it costs twenty bucks to own. The preference pane should find all the printers your Mac can print to. You can always get back to it by going to Apple menu System Preferences After you install Printopia, the service will startup, and you'll see Sharing for the status message Figure A.
All of your available printers will appear in the devices list. Unchecking the devices or applications that interact with Printopia will disable them and keep them from appearing on the iOS printer list.
