How fast is a fzr 600

It's comfortable enough to provide long-distance touring ability, but also has enough oomph to deliver plenty of fun and frolics in the twisties. I've had one of these for a few years in fact, I rode it in to work today , and it's an excellent bike. The real beauty of the Bandit is that its clutch, brakes and gears are very light and smooth, and thanks to the engine's excellent low-down grunt, it's a very easy bike to ride.

But the bike also has enough power and performance to entertain an advanced rider, making it a great buy for newbie bikers -- you won't get bored of it quickly, that's for sure. That's because it's powered by a cc DOHC inline-four engine that pumps out 79 horsepower, delivering a top speed of around mph and enabling it to cane the quarter mile in The Suzuki Bandit is highly recommended for bikers on a budget who want sports-style performance, but the comfort and styling of a traditional bike.

Available at exactly the same retail price as the Bandit , Suzuki's SV is another cool that provides plenty of power and performance. Its engine delivers around 70 horsepower, but because it's a v-twin, it delivers plenty of low-down torque making it a very quick accelerator from a standing start. Couple that with the bike's light weight, and you have an excellent performer that's comfortable enough to commute with, but powerful enough to provide entertainment in the twisties. Like the Bandit, the SV is easy to ride and is an excellent beginner bike.

The only down-side is that its top-end performance acceleration from 85 mph isn't as good as the other bikes on this page. But unless you're taking it on the track or are doing some seriously evil things on the road, you'll never really notice. Since the SV is still very new, there are few used ones available right now, and even then, they're expensive compared to other 's. But if you really want the kind of low-down grunt that a v-twin engine delivers, packed into a bike that's light enough to flick about with ease, it's a good choice.

The CBR sports a cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that produces a very impressive horsepower. Combine that with the CBR's light weight and you have a serious performance tool that eats the standing quarter mile in The thing that makes the CBR an absolute winner is the fact that all this performance comes with a bike that's both comfortable and easy to ride. Whether you want to do some serious touring, or take it on the track for some hardcore racing, the CBR does it all.

But the good news is that there are absolutely tons of old ones around. Both are excellent bikes and provide performance that's close to the F4 at around half the price. Of course, there are plenty of other bikes out there that I could have mentioned, but I think that these four provide slightly different types of performance and abilities, and offer the very best value for money.

In last week's Machine Special Feature Cheap Speed , I looked at new cars that give the best performance for the least amount of cash. This week, I thought it'd be a good thing if I did the same for motorcycles, especially considering that bikes go a lot faster than cars Post Reply. Quote Post by tickledawson » Thu Jan 05, pm So iv been riding my bike for a few weeks now and decided to see what she could do, Iv got a Fzr genesis 1wg that's streetfightered.

Could it be because it's just old? Or does that sound about. I thought it'd be alot faster. Re: What is your top speed? You could through an FZR engine in there and get to Thanks for joining and participating in the most "active" FZR Community on the internet!

Fzr 3tj x2 fzr 3en1 17in conversion now gone its way in parts! Quote Post by tickledawson » Fri Jan 06, am Iv got aftermarket speedo on. Not sure if you can find photos iv posted Iv forgotten how to upload. It will reach 80 without a problem, once it hits 80 the revs will still go up fine but the speed remains the same, It sucks!!!

Quote Post by taggy » Fri Jan 06, pm if the revs go up id still suspect the speedo, you do know that there needs to be a signal from the speedo to the tci in order for it to reset the speed restriction once the bike is in gear?
