Heineken Impulse, Heritage Mansion. Got an email from Joyce telling me about this event, and she wrote in the email that she will be there too. Since I am free on that day, an It has shif I went to watch another very good local film on the first day it premiered.
Ice Kacang Puppy Love Roast Duck at Weng Kee Restaurant. I was invited to be there. Twitter Updates Twitter Updates follow me on Twitter. So please…she is not as real as you deem her to be. Btw, eh no lor, she really think she is very chio and hot one. Which I enjoy reading over a cup of tea. If enough idiots post such comments, I shall threaten to never post her photos again! I will mosaic her face and boobs, if within photo out! Her beauty shall be slightly within your grasp, but never attained!
Such is my cruelty. I can only see a very egoistic girl being extremely jealous and being very upright about her annoyance over her best pal being commented prettier than her. Btw, why the need to delete such comments? Not few you know. And people who say her buddy is pretty are idiots? Like you say, she also got a right to write whatever she wants in her blog mah. Moreover what she lied is about herself.
Not every report in the news is real too. So what can you expect from a blog written by a…person who gets by in life by doing cosmectic surgery all over her body and being pretty in pictures? It is at her discretion whether she wants ppl to know it or vice-versa. Is there a need to judge dawn yang this way jus becos she had a surgery done?
MY response to cunninglinguist above: yeah somehow her readers who commented on her blog mostly sound very childish and mediocre. XX is definitely not boliao. She strucked me as a smart and pragmatic female who uses her talent in insulting people on her blog and attracting awareness from mediocre and boliao readers who worships her and her blog to create passive income for her. She understands nothing attracts more viewership than quarrels, lawsuits and petty arguments between people. Because humans are kpo by nature.
Even on the roads, accidents will definitely attract more people to look. Its quite mission impossible to keep her blog interesting for every entry and forever, because she is just a normal human being with no proper job except to sit infront of a computer to type blog entries. Therefore once in awhile she will do this sort of things to bring back the crowd. I thought most people should know this by now. Read her blog once in awhile for entertainment or when you boliao is fine, I do that sometimes.
But, please exercise some sort of brain activity and not take everything at face value for everything she wrote. And what makes you think that XX is very real just because she writes alot on her blog and dawn dont write? The one who writes more will definitely attract more readers and supporters while the one who write less usually have lesser and more easily misunderstood. Dont misunderstand me, I not a fan of Dawn.
Nobody is perfect. Some are proud, haolian, some are selfish, some are egoistic, some are so vain, but most importantly, one should not have a bad heart, as in doing harm to others so that ownself has something to gain. If XX is not such a blogger who have so many hits to her page, her comments wont hurt that much and probably wont have such an impact.
BUt its precisely her blog got so many hits, she should bear some degree of responsibility for what she write and not writing anything as she damn well pleases.
Just like a political figure, teacher, or even artiste should speak wisely because anything they say might influence people to a great extent. She really have to thank so many of her supporters like you who is constantly keeping her lifestyle.
Yanagi: I think I would feel rather envious too if my readers of my blog have numerous comments about how my friend is pretty.
Photoshopped pictures? How convenient, grandma! Jealousy and revenge. Troublemaker at her best. Now her mother is also stooping to her low level. According to Xiaxue , Xiaxue claims that Grace Tan harassed her, provoked her and insulted her. She also claims that Grace Tan wrote about her negatively 11 times.
Bigger person. Xiaxue did LIED to her readers. SMRT Feedback was right. They got 30, likes. Did Grace say anything insulting about Xiaxue?
Did Grace insult Xiaxue in any way here? Again, did Grace Tan say anything insulting or derogatory about Xiaxue? Any offensive name-calling involved? Did some Minister awarded her the title? Did the Singapore government gave her the title? Did the Asia Pacific government gave her the title?
Did her company Nuffnang award her the title? Oh wait, it did… The same company in which she has a stake as a shareholder. But is she really? Statistics please ….. She did NOT write it.
How is this defamatory? Well guess what, readers? OK so this was a misunderstanding, which Xiaxue has clarified. Then hypocitically acts like a poor victim in need of shelter. But you know something, readers? He screwed up on 2 occasions though. Yes, now everyone knows that lawyers make mistakes too, especially amateur ones.
I believe this is how Xiaxue wants the case settled. Like that was supposed to make Grace feel better. Let me guess. Did she commit grand larceny again? After 15 minutes, I half expected my phone to explode into glitter and confetti with every additional photo I clicked through.
In most of them, she appears doe-eyed and purse-lipped, like a life-sized Barbie doll or anime character. Her head, tilted at differing angles, is framed only by her cascading locks, all meant to showcase her most flattering profile.
Yet I remain neither moved nor impressed by this seeming desire to fit into conventional beauty standards. In other words, I mentally prepare myself for a bland, one-dimensional conversation. But this much is obvious within the first minute of meeting Dawn Yang: there is clearly more than meets the eye. It was just an online journal back then, where I occasionally even wrote lovelorn poems. On her original Xanga blog, Clap Bang Kiss, Dawn came across as someone prettier than average, capable of stringing a decent sentence together, and relatively candid about her life.
Eventually, Dawn got noticed by an artiste management agency and landed several sponsorships. Even then, Dawn remained on the periphery of mainstream public consciousness—until her public feud with fellow blogger , Xiaxue, catapulted her to infamy. As with most catfights, this was a hot mess of insults that, in hindsight, seem extremely childish. Which showed Dawn in her younger days, with a chubbier face and tanned skin.
Amidst my research for this story, a friend reminds me that Dawn once claimed she had Eurasian heritage, hence her appearance. When I bring this up, she denies saying it. Around that time, she had also discovered how to enlarge her eyes with contact lenses, and how to use makeup to look prettier. At 34 years old, Dawn is done with putting so much of her life online. Updating her Instagram these days is less about commercial gain and more for self-expression, which explains why her feed can appear less stylised than those from top-tier influencers.
So she chose not to address the issue. Even then, regardless of her decision to skirt the topic or feature messages of positivity alongside her Instagram photos, Dawn is part of the cycle that perpetuates the setting of unrealistic beauty standards for impressionable youth. Yet I hesitate to call her disingenuous, since she never proclaimed to be a role model. A lie told often enough becomes the truth.
