What are the rules in that type of situation? Think about Tressell--good man with good intentions that made a bad error in judgment. He wanted to stay on top. Has Buxton ever had kids with terrible grades and pushed teachers to keep them eligible?

Has he ever paid expenses out of his pocket to kids that needed money? Has he ever overlooked conduct issues because he wanted a certain kid in the lineup? Though Hardwick agreed with that notion, he would not get into specifics as to why Buxton stepped down just days before the school year.
